SGLAB Inc. announced that it has been selected for the 'Majoong Support Project' by Microsoft Korea and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The Majoong Program, which began in 2020, helps entrepreneurs in the cloud-based B2B solution industry by improving AI technology and easing access into global markets.
SGLAB Inc, a golf tech business founded by PGA pro Cho Eddie, has created the intelligent golf club 'G-grip' using multi-modal AI. This product combines high-sensitivity nano-material pressure sensors, dual motion sensors, low-power communication, and wireless charging technologies to provide revolutionary features while retaining the same form, weight, and grip feel of traditional clubs.
The G-grip aims to become the world's first intelligent golf club, transitioning from a simple training tool to a sophisticated platform for gathering and analyzing golf club data. The product's goal is to deliver individualized instruction to users, improve performance through data-driven insights, and optimize golf play methods by storing and analyzing data in the cloud.
Eddie Cho, the Founder of SGLAB Inc., said, "We will leverage the data-driven cloud services provided by the Majoong Program to strengthen our product technology capabilities and foster an environment that promotes the activation of intelligent golf clubs." He continued: "Our G-grip product will usher in a new era as a golf data platform and drive innovation in the golf industry."
Meanwhile, SGLAB will receive support through this selection, including Microsoft Cloud Credits, 1:1 SaaS Business consulting from Microsoft Korea, global market expansion, and promotional marketing. The company has been actively working towards global market entry by participating in the PGA Show in January and the VivaTech exhibition in France in May, establishing partnerships with global PGA professionals. The selection for the Majoong Program is expected to accelerate technology development and market expansion further.
