Sports tech-startup SGLAB announced Sunday that its next-generation AI-powered golf club, the G·GRIP Pro, has been honored with an Innovation Award at CES 2026. This marks the Seoul-based company's second consecutive year receiving the prestigious accolade at the world's premier consumer electronics showcase.
The company, which made its CES debut last year with the original G·GRIP model has solidified its position as a pioneering force in the global golf technology market with this latest recognition.

Eliminating the Setup: On-Device AI Reimagines Swing Analysis
The G·GRIP Pro represents a fundamental shift in golf swing analysis technology. This innovative approach eliminates the need for external cameras or cumbersome wearable devices by utilizing on-device artificial intelligence for real-time analysis.
The system integrates pressure, acceleration, gyroscope, and impact sensors directly into the club's internal structure. This pioneering design means golfers can receive professional-grade feedback instantly, anywhere, with zero setup.
"Our technology sets a new standard in golf tech by fundamentally replacing conventional analysis methods and bringing the power of the analysis directly into the golfer's hands," the company said in a statement.
Advanced Performance Capabilities
SGLAB has implemented significant hardware and software improvements in the latest model, including:
The device features three proprietary technologies that provide a clear competitive advantage:
'Swing DNA' System: Can quantify and map individual swing patterns for deep personalization with just 10 swings.
'Motion-to-Language' Coaching Engine: A revolutionary feature that translates invisible swing factors and complex data into easy-to-understand, natural language feedback.
'Swing DNA Flywheel' Function: Ensures that analysis quality and coaching relevance improve progressively with each practice session, creating a personalized learning ecosystem.
Market Readiness and Global Expansion
The G·GRIP Pro is currently undergoing extensive beta testing with diverse groups, with an official launch targeted for the second half of next year. The successful original G·GRIP model has already established a valuable user base in the United States market, providing data and feedback that is being directly incorporated into the Pro model's refinement.
SGLAB is actively engaging with professional golfers, leading golf academies, and major golf club manufacturers both domestically and internationally to validate the technology and explore integration opportunities.
Vision for Physical AI in Sports
"Understanding the precise interaction between golfers and their clubs in real-world environments is fundamental to golf learning," said Eddie Cho, CEO of SGLAB. "Winning CES Innovation Awards for two consecutive years validates our technical direction and our approach."
The CEO outlined the company's broader vision: "While we're currently focused on perfecting Physical AI technology in golf, our ultimate goal is to expand this foundation across all sports, creating an environment where more users can achieve meaningful, measurable improvement in their athletic performance."
The CES Innovation Awards program, now in its 40th year, is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products. Winners are selected by a panel of independent industrial designers, engineers, and members of the tech media.
